There are many great lessons in The Wizard of Oz. There are even books written about the lessons that people have taken away from the Movie/Play/Ballet. This is my favorite.
Dorothy: Oh, will you help me? Can you help me?
Glinda, the Good Witch: You don’t need to be helped any longer. You’ve always had the power to go back to Kansas.
Dorothy: I have?
Scarecrow: Then why didn’t you tell her before?
Glinda, the Good Witch: Because she wouldn’t have believed me. She had to learn it for herself.
We do have the power to do what we want to do. We do need to recognize this for ourselves. No matter how much anyone tells us we have the power to be the change we want to see – it does not matter until we believe it. Until we learn it for ourselves.
We are creating our lives with every thought and every action. This is our power. The power of choice. This is a very basic spiritual truth. Our thoughts, actions and choices can take us to Kansas, or wherever we want to go. We have always had the power.
